Katie Hargrave (Somerville, MA) will install a mixed-media installation that focuses on notions of public memorial and place making. This site-specific installation, inspired by Cleveland's proximity to Lake Erie, is a further exploration of the artist’s fascination with history as a vehicle for memorial.

Hargrave received a BFA from the University of Illionois, Urbana-Champaigne, IL (2007) and an MFA from Brandeis University, Waltham, MA (2008). The artist has participated in a number of group and collaborative exhibitions at galleries including OPENSOURCE Art (Champaign, IL), Lumpen (Chicago, IL), Link Gallery (Champaign, IL), and the Kohler Art Center (Sheboygan, WI).
