Sung Jin Choi presents an intricate installation composed of found objects intended to evoke cultural nostalgia. Choi received a BFA in sculpture from the Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea, followed by an MFA in sculpture (Seoul National University) and and an MFA in combined media from Hunter College in New York City. He has shown internationally with a focus in New York and Korea. back to SPACELab>> |
Using techniques such as plaster carving, mold-making, and woodworking, Evan Larson manipulates the existing structures within the gallery to create a seemingly-organic and often ephemeral space of neutrality between object and viewer within institutional dynamics. Larson received a BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art. He has exhibited and taught across the nation and currently serves as an associate professor at Wayne State University. |
