Let SPACES be your canvas
According to Steven Litt, art & architecture critic for The Plain Dealer, 'To step inside the new home of SPACES in the freshly renovated ground floor of the Van Rooy Building at 2900 Detroit Ave. is to enter a classic white space typical of urban contemporary art venues around the world. With high ceilings, a rough-and-ready concrete floor and track lighting that produces a warm, even glow, the nonprofit gallery looks ready for action.'

Selecting your Date
When requesting a date during our active Exhibition Schedule (dates listed in the Special Events Rental Packet) please be aware that we are not able to predict the work that will be displayed or the impact the work will have on the floor plan. We do not move artwork once it is in place by the artist. Due to this we advise that you consider a rental in-between our exhibition periods if your event's layout is of the utmost importance.
Let SPACES be your studio
Since 1978 SPACES has provided a context for artists to create new work. Tap into your creative potential and make your art in our new production facilities. The SPACES Clean Workshop and Donna & Stewart Kohl Dirty Workshop are ideal for artists who need a space and equipment to realize their vision, but donŐt have regular access to tools. These workshops are designed specifically for artists, arts workers, carpenters, and freelancers who are involved in the creative sector. Because artists need space.
If you would like to schedule a time to view the galleries or workshops at SPACES please complete the below form and a SPACES representative will get back with you shortly. No phone calls please.
