Anna Arnold

Anna Arnold is a community muralist and art educator who earned her BFA degree from the Cleveland Institute of Art and a Master's in Art Education from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland in 2010.

Highly prolific, Anna has produced hundreds of artworks and has exhibited in over 200 gallery and museums in the U.S. including the National Black Arts Festival (Atlanta), California Afro American Museum (Los Angeles), Alternative Museum (NYC), Chicago Public Library, Cleveland Clinic Foundation and the Cleveland Museum of Art. Her works are in the collections of Progressive Corporation Art, Western Reserve Historical Society, Cleveland Public Library and the Center for Art and Religion, Washington, DC.

Anna has taught workshops and residencies in Cleveland and Ohio schools, colleges, galleries and museums. Anna was a co-instructor with Cleveland's Bureau of Cultural Arts' (Department of Recreation) Mural My Neighborhood skills-training program for teens from the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.
In September 2010, Anna completed a large-scale public mural for Verizon Wireless' How Sweet the Sound Gospel Competition and Community Mural Program. In 14 cities hosting a How Sweet the Sound regional competition, Verizon commissioned artists to create murals that reflect gospel music.
In the fall of 2011, Anna was commissioned by the Buckeye Area Development Corp. to transform 15 exterior trash containers into exciting outdoor works of art for the Buckeye neighborhood in Cleveland.

In 2010 and 2012, Anna was one of four artists creating large-scale murals for the Cleveland Museum of Art Community Mural Project. The murals, created by the artists and community members, have been installed in neighborhood's bordering Cleveland's University Circle area.
