Ben Hagari

Biography

Ben Hagari was born in Tel Aviv in 1981. He graduated from the Ha'midrasha School of Art at Beit Berl College, Kfar Saba in 2008 and has since exhibited internationally.

Solo exhibitions include "Weather House", Art Cologne (2009), "Nude and Washing Machine", Ha'midrasha Graduation Show (2008) and "Ben Hagari: Cuckoo", Rosenfeld Gallery (2007). Group exhibitions include "Can't You See I'm Walking on Air", Chelouche Gallery (2009), "The Tyranny of the Transparent", Minshar Art Space (2008), "The Rear", Herzliya Biennial (2007), "Present Now" Reding Art Fair 5 (2006), and "From the Heart" Center for Contemporary Art, Tel Aviv (2005).

Hagari has participated in international residencies and has received grants from the Israeli Fund for Video Art and Experimental Cinema, the American-Israel Cultural Foundation, the Rafi Lavie Award for Young Artist, and the Israeli Ministry of Education.
Since 2009, Hagari has served as head of the Video Department at Ha'midrasha School of Art at Beit Berl College.
