Isabel Farnsworth received her BFA in painting from Tyler School of Art in 1989, attended Skowhegan School of Art and received her MFA in Sculpture from Stanford University in 1995. She has done residencies at The Glassell "Core" Program in Houston, The Rijksacademie Von Beelden Kuntz in Amsterdam, and the Cite' International des Arts in Paris.
Currently, and since 1997, she is an Associate Professor of Sculpture at Kent State University. Selected solo exhibitions include, The Olin Art Gallery in Gambier, OH, F.A.V.A in Oberlin, OH, and Bucheon Gallery in San Francisco. She lives in Kent, Ohio with her two kids, Elliot and Leah.
