Laura Moriarty

Biography

Laura Moriarty makes innovative sculptural paintings, installations and prints. Her work has been recognized by numerous grants and awards including a 2011 Projects Grant from United States Artists and two Individual Artist Grants from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation. She has participated in artist residencies at Universities and art centers throughout the United States, Europe and Canada, including The Frans Masereel Center in Belgium and the Ucross Foundation in Wyoming. Laura's artwork has been featured widely in solo and group exhibitions since 1992. Recent shows include The James W. Palmer Gallery at Vassar College, The Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art (New Paltz, NY), The Morean Art Center (St. Petersburg, FL), and the Jyväskylä Art Museum (Jyväskylä, Finland). She is the author of Table of Contents, an artist's book published in 2011. The artist lives and works in Rosendale, New York.
