Mary Ann was born in Watertown, SD. She has exhibited at Realform Project Space, Gallery K-99, Cologne, Germany and MPercent Gallery. She received her MFA from the University of New Mexico in 1993, her MA from the University of New Mexico in 1989 and her BA from the University of South Dakota in 1984. She was awarded the Arts Midwest National Endowment for the Arts Visual Arts Fellowship in 1996.
