Yuka Oyama (Born in Tokyo, Japan. Lives and works in Berlin, Germany.) studied Jewelry/Light Metals at Rhode Island School of Design and received her MA in Sculpture and Jewelry at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts in Germany. Oyama brings broad experience in participation/dialogue-based art to her knowledge and practice of jewelry-making. She is currently a Research Fellow at the Oslo National Academy of Arts in Norway. Recent exhibitions have included Szenen der Verführung, Berliner Stadtmission, Berlin (2102); Metadomestic, Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art, Middlesbrogh, England; Bureau of Temptations, EMBRACED, Gustavsbergs Konsthall, Gustaveberg, Sweden (2011); and Modern Märchen in Berliner Underground - U10, Potsdamer Platz Station, Berlin (2010).
