Mimi Kato Installation Day

Mimi Kato Installation Day

North Chagrin Nature Center
3037 SOM Center Road
Willoughby Hills, OH 44094
Rain Date: Friday, August 16 (10:00 am to 4:00 pm)

SWAP artist-in-residence Mimi Kato is joining creative forces with the Cleveland Metroparks' Invasive Plant Management Team to do an art installation around the removal of the invasive plant glossy buckthorn at the North Chagrin Nature Center.

Volunteers are needed to help mark treated buckthorn stumps, haul brush, and process through buckthorn stalks, some of which will be displayed at SPACES during Kato's exhibition.

From August to October, visitors to the North Chagrin Reservation will be able to gauge the volume of buckthorn removed in a single day, through Kato's installation of reflective markings on each stump.

Interested? RSVP and send your questions to swap@spacesgallery.org.
