Christopher Auerbach-Brown, Andrea Joki
April 18 - May 23, 2008
"Andrea Joki and Christopher Auerbach-Brown collaborate to create a visual and auditory dialogue by combining sonic and visual elements to address themes of mapping and transformation. This unique experiment is meant to entice the viewer to explore the associations between visual and audio elements while creating an overall exploratory experience for the viewer.
Joki received an MFA from Kent State University and has particpated in residencies through Zygote Press and the Ohio Arts Council's Artist Exchange. She has recently exhibited at the Riffe Gallery and at Zygote Press.
An active composer and educator, Auerbach-Brown teaches at the Cleveland Music School Settlement and The Cleveland Institute of Art. Recently, he was commissioned by the Finger Lakes Music Educators' Association to compose a work for full orchestra and arranged Hasu Patel's works for sitar and orchestra."
