Unknown Readable, Phoenixes, Tape Conversation, ABS video
April 18 - July 06, 2008
His work investigates how technology can be a desensitizing system and explores its physical and emotional effects. In his most recent videos, he employs what he calls "kinetic literature" and takes the pulse of our hidden thoughts.
The artist's work ranges from absurdist sculptural installations to meticulously edited videos. While often employing the role of the artist as the jumping off point for his subject matter, the issues that become apparent are incredibly perceptive looks at what all humans experience---the problems we share, and the ideas that come about when we try to solve them.
