Born in 1941 in Godstone, England, Brinsley Tyrrell graduated from the Camberwill School of Arts & Crafts at the University of London before becoming a Professor of Art at Kent State University; obtaining his Professor Emeritus status in 1996. During the course of his career he has won many awards and held various exhibitions of his work, many of them sculptural and public art pieces
