Dana Hanmer

Philadelphia, PA

Dana Hanmer lives and works in Philadeplhia, PA. She received her MFA in sculpture from Cranbrook Academy of Art and her BFA from the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University. Since 2011, she has worked for the Institute of Contemporary Art at the University of Pennsylvania. Previously, she worked as an assistant registrar for a collections move at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and was also the Assistant Registrar/Photo Archivist at the Fabric Workshop and Museum. Hanmer taught in the Fine Arts and Basics departments at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia from 2004 - 2008. She has shown her work at several venues including the University of Maine Farmington, ME; the Center for Maine Contemporary Art in Rockport, ME; and Spaces Gallery in Cleveland, OH; Opensource, Urbana Champaigne, IL; Art Interactive Gallery, Cambridge, MA; Gallery at Green Street, Jamaica Plain, MA; Zeitgeist Gallery, Cambridge, MA; among others. She often collaborates with artist Travis Hanmer on various projects and exhibitions.
