Mona Gazala was born and raised in Northeastern Ohio and is of Palestinian descent. She received her BFA from Ohio State University and has exhibited at numerous Ohio galleries and venues. Her style can best be described as ''Tremont School'' after the post-industrial style much-used among Tremont artists, which utilizes found objects, found images and texts, and industrial/recycled materials and treatments.
