Paul Rodgers was born in 1980 in Akron, Ohio, and is currently working toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Kent State University. Shortly after arriving at Kent, his drawing background and love of photography lead him quite naturally to printmaking. In 2011, he was the recipient of the Tom D. Little Prize for Excellence in Printmaking and was a Kent State nominee for the Windgate Fellowship. He has also had the distinct pleasure of serving as an intern at Zygote Press, a fine arts print collective in Cleveland, Oh. There he has worked closely with resident artists, assisted with exhibitions, and spearheaded workshops and tutorials. Later this year, Mr. Rodgers will attend graduate school with a focus in printmaking. His career goal is to teach art, and to continue his involvement with the print community at large.
