Paul Kopřiva is head of the Interactive Media studio for the Faculty of Art and Design at the University J. E. Purkyně, Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic. His long-term interests include surface reflection, military logistics, UFO, space adventures, nanotechnology, and, on general level, intersection of art and science. He is a researcher in technological art based on nanofibers. He collaborates in this field with the laboratory of nanotechnology at the Techical University, Liberec.
Kopřiva has exhibited at the Glass Museum in Nový Bor, Czech Republic; Gallery Via Art in Prague, Czech Republic; and the Gallery of Modern Art in Roudnice nad Labem, Czech Republic, among others.
He received his PhD from the Academy of Architecture, Art and Design Prague in 2004, his MFA in 1995 from the same institution, and he attended Jewelery Art School Jablonec nad Nisou from 1982-1986.
