Peter van Dijk, FAIA - Peter van Dijk is a Clevleand architect who has been responsible for the innovative designs of many projects that enhance the quality of life in Northeast Ohio and elsewhere. Among these are the Blossom Music Center, the Cleveland State Music Building, Cain Park Amphitheater, museums at University Circle, Akron and the Temple Hoyne Buell Theater in Denver. He has designed large projects such as the A. J. Celebreeze Federal Building, the IMG Center and corporate headquarters for Parker Hannifin, B. F. Goodrich, Lubrizol and Invacare. He has also designed medical facilities at the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospital and in Akron, Youngstown and Cincinnati.

Peter has been entrusted with the restoration and adaptive reuse of seeral of our finest historical building. They include the Cleveland Federal Reserve Bank, The Society (Key) Bank, the Huntington Bank, the MK Ferguson Plaza, and the Soldiers and Sailors Monument. He led the design of the revival of the theaters at Playhouse Square.

Peter van Dijk received a Masters in Architecture from MIT. He served for two years in the US Army. He was a Fulbright Scholar in Italy and was a designer with the architect Eero Saarinen for four years before moving to Cleveland.

Van Dijk is a Fellow in the American Institute of Architects and has been awarded the Gold Medal of the Ohio Chapter of AIA, its highest honor. Van Dijk is also a world class Masters swimmer.
