MDR: Many hands make a light load and Artists Time Slots   05.03.13

Thanks to the folks who help make this years Monster Drawing Rally 2013 happen!

Monster Drawing Rally is a live drawing event and fundraiser featuring over 100 artists.

Monster Drawing Rally was conceived by Southern Exposure (SoEx) in San Francisco and has become a national model. SoEx has partnered with many nonprofit arts organizations across he United States to help them establish the Monster Drawing Rally with SoEx's support. SoEx is proud to share their successful fundraising models and community-building strategies with similar artist-centered organizations. Each MDR is run a little different.

For SPACES' MDR we picked 10 "curators " to help us fill the over 100 seats with talented artists.

After the curators' artists have signed up we open it up to the public via an open call. Thanks to all participating artists!

Calling Polkapocalyptic Volunteers   10.03.12

The Polkapocalypse is fast approaching and our survivalist militia needs volunteers to help us prepare and host the undead horde that will occupy SPACES on Saturday, November 3rd.

All metaphor aside, we need volunteers for our benefit. Prior to the benefit we'll be working on decorations, cataloging and hanging artwork, and soliciting donations of food and money. During the benefit we'll need people to help staff check-in, check-out, coat check, the auctions, food tables, and other various areas.

If you volunteer up to 4 hours, you will receive one free ticket to the Polka Party (8 p.m.).

Please complete the form below and pitch in to help out SPACES! Once you submit the form, we'll be in touch as soon as we are able.
