Baby, It's Cold Outside

FamilySPACES

Sunday, February 04, 2018, 2:00PM - 4:00PM

Did you know that in order for Lake Erie to be healthy for humans and animals it needs to freeze over to maintain manageable algae limits? Even though most humans hate the winter cold in Cleveland, the temperature drop allows for Lake Erie to be swimmable in the summer.

Keep track of snow fall and weather conditions by making a winter barometer and thermometer this winter, and see if you can determine what the summer holds for beach goers!

This is a program related to R&D artist project Waiting for a Break, on view at SPACES between January 26th - March 23rd, 2018. Our monthly FamilySPACES events are hands-on companion activities that introduce kids and their parents or care givers to the exhibitions on display at SPACES.

The focus is on the artistic process, mirroring how SPACES uniquely works with artists, and developing art literacy and communications skills for all ages. When you join FamilySPACES you might learn how to draw your own fictional character, listen actively during story time, or make fossilized creations of your very own to take home. No two events are the same!

FamilySPACES is appropriate for all ages and FREE.
